Case Study: Quality

We are continuously improving and updating our quality procedures and systems. In November 2016 we were proud to become one of the first companies in our industry to achieve the new ISO9001:2015 accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to the highest standards of competence and performance.

The purpose of the ISO certification has always been to help companies to be customer-focused by ensuring quality, safety and efficiency. The new revision takes into account increasingly complex supply chains; leadership engagement; and managing organisational risks and opportunities to meet the changing needs of customers in a global marketplace.

Andrew Bucknell, Quality Director, said, “We are delighted to have secured the new ISO 9001 certification, way ahead of the deadline, and before many of our competitors. Our customers rightly expect the highest standards and, while we have been committed to meeting these for more than 30 years, the certification proves that we are not content to our rest on our laurels. Quality drives everything we do.”

Peter Smith, RVL’s Operations Director, added, “I am proud of all our staff, from purchasing to design and manufacturing, for the effort they have put in to achieve this gold standard at such an early stage. Our customers can trust that we are adhering to the latest best-practice, and providing them with the highest quality products and services.”

In addition, RVL complies with UK WEEE regulations, the RoHS Directive and IPC Standards Agency. We also aim to segregate and recycle materials and packaging where possible.
